Overview

This 1965 Chevrolet C10 starts with one of the cleanest classic truck platforms GM ever produced, and turns things up to eleven.
 
At the center of this build sits a small block 454ci LSX V8 crate engine, delivering the kind of torque and response you expect from a big-cube setup. We're talking somewhere in the low-12 to high-11 second range on street tires, with potential for even quicker passes when properly dialed in. It’s supported by a Holley Terminator fuel injection system and ECU, giving it modern reliability and precise throttle control. Supporting hardware includes a Wegner Motorsports serpentine system, Mast Motorsports oil pan, and Motion Raceworks valve covers with a catch can, all chosen to make the motor as functional as it is visually enticing.
 
Power runs through a built 4L80E automatic transmission, rated to handle up to a staggering 1,000 horsepower, paired with a Yank 3200 stall converter that sharpens launch and low-speed response. Out back, a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears and Tru Trac posi ensures traction stays consistent when the power comes in.
 
The chassis is where this build separates itself. A full QA1 suspension setup, including coilovers, front A-arms, and rear components, transforms how the truck sits and drives. The lowered stance is deliberate, and combined with Wilwood 14-inch disc brakes at all four corners, it gives the truck real control to match its output.
 
Underneath, the powder-coated frame and relocated aluminum fuel tank with in-tank pump clean up the layout while improving weight distribution and reliability. An aluminum driveshaft rounds out the drivetrain upgrades. A quick peek at the undercarriage reveals the amount of modern hardware that sits beneath this classic rig, showcasing the level of attention to detail.
