Our team at duPont REGISTRY Live presents this 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo, a 993-generation example finished in Arena Red over black leather interior and showing approximately 43,700 miles at the time of documentation. As the last air-cooled 911 Turbo and the first with twin turbochargers and all-wheel drive, the 993 Turbo sits at a clearly defined hinge point in the model's evolution, and this 6-speed manual coupe presents as a clean, well-preserved example of one of the most enduringly collector-focused generations of the 911.

The 993 was the final air-cooled generation of the 911, and the Turbo variant introduced two firsts to the lineage: a twin-turbocharged version of the 3.6-liter flat-six, and standard all-wheel drive across the entire production run. Subsequent water-cooled Turbos from the 996 onwards would inherit both architectures, but the 993 remains the only one to combine them with air cooling, which is the central reason it continues to sit at the top end of modern 911 values.

This car carries the standard (M64/60) 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual, the only transmission Porsche offered on the 993 Turbo. Output is rated at 408 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, with period figures placing 0-60 mph at roughly four seconds and top speed near 180 mph. Power goes to all four wheels through a viscous-coupled all-wheel-drive system. The 993 generation also introduced the 911's first multi-link rear suspension, replacing the semi-trailing arm geometry that had carried over from earlier cars. 

Finished in Arena Red, this particular example wears the integrated whale-tail rear wing standard to the 993 Turbo, along with the model's deeper front fascia and flared rear quarters. The wheels are 18-inch 996-generation silver Turbo Twist, fitted in place of the original 993 hollow-spoke design. Factory cross-drilled disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, with the calipers refinished in yellow. The paint has recently benefited from a high quality paint correction. 

Inside, the black leather interior is in clean order, with power-adjustable bucket seats featuring perforated centers and the embossed Porsche crest at the headrests, a carbon-fiber dash and console trim package, a Continental head unit, air conditioning, power windows, and a power-operated sunroof.

Total 993 Turbo production is commonly cited at approximately 5,978 cars worldwide, with roughly 2,400 being delivered to the North American market across the 1996 and 1997 model years, the only two years the Turbo was sold new in the region. That figure does not include the 1998 Turbo S, a separate Exclusiv-built variant produced in limited numbers for select markets. With a clean history and approximately 47,000 miles, this 993 Turbo presents as a usable, well-maintained example of the model that closed the air-cooled chapter of the 911.
