Seller's Introduction

duPont REGISTRY Live proudly presents this 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo, finished in Grand Prix White over a black leather interior and showing around 29,000 miles (47,409 kilometers). A RoW-specification example originally delivered to Japan, this 911 Turbo is powered by Porsche’s 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six and paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and all-wheel drive. Further distinguished by black BBS wheels, red brake calipers, white instrument dials, drilled aluminum pedals, and an aftermarket exhaust, this example retains the character of Porsche’s final air-cooled Turbo generation. The sale includes one key, and a case containing the original owner’s booklets and service records.

Overview

The 1996 model year represented the final chapter of Porsche’s air-cooled 911 Turbo lineage, with the 993-generation Turbo combining the traditional character of the air-cooled flat-six with a significant evolution in performance and engineering. Introduced for the 1995 model year, the 993 Turbo brought forced induction and all-wheel drive together in Porsche’s flagship 911, while retaining the six-speed manual transmission that distinguished it from many contemporary high-performance automobiles. The result was a Turbo that offered considerable performance while remaining usable as a road-going grand touring car.

This example was previously owned by renowned Porsche specialist, Gunther Rosch of Autohaus Gunther Rosch in Pforzheim, Germany. Finished in Grand Prix White, the exterior is complemented by black BBS wheels and red brake calipers, creating a purposeful contrast against the white bodywork. A rear wiper adds practicality, while the overall presentation retains the understated appearance characteristic of the 993 Turbo. An aftermarket exhaust further differentiates this example while adding a more pronounced character to the flat-six soundtrack.

Inside, the Turbo features black leather upholstery paired with white instrument dials, providing a clean contrast within the cabin. An Alpine radio and ComTec radar detector are fitted, while drilled aluminum pedals add a motorsport-inspired touch to the driver's environment. The combination of traditional Porsche materials and period-correct accessories gives the cabin the character of a performance-oriented 1990s sports car while retaining the functionality expected of a road-going 911 Turbo.

Power comes from Porsche’s 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six, paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and sending power to all four wheels. The 993 Turbo’s twin-turbocharged engine represented a major development of Porsche’s air-cooled powertrain, while its all-wheel-drive system provided additional traction and stability under acceleration. Rear Bilstein shocks have been fitted, complementing the Turbo’s performance-oriented chassis, while the aftermarket exhaust further enhances the mechanical character of the car.

Showing around 30,000 miles (47,409 kilometers), this 911 Turbo is accompanied by Japanese service and inspection paperwork documenting its history before import. The sale also includes one key and the original owner’s booklets. With its RoW specification, ownership history, Grand Prix White exterior, manual transmission, all-wheel drive, and final-generation air-cooled twin-turbocharged engine, this example represents a particularly distinctive configuration of Porsche’s 993-generation Turbo.

Inspectors Notes: This is a really cool 993 Turbo, especially with the Grand Prix White over black BBS wheels and red calipers. The 6-speed manual, air-cooled twin-turbo flat-six, and all-wheel drive make these such a special combination. It also has some great history, having previously been owned by Porsche specialist Gunther Rosch, and comes with a binder full of documentation. The engine feels very healthy and has a deep rumble to it.
