duPont REGISTRY Live is proud to present this 2001 Chrysler Prowler Mulholland Edition, a limited-production example of Chrysler’s retro-inspired roadster, showing approximately 30,000 miles. This example is 1 of 1,281 Mulholland Editions produced and has been privately owned by a single owner since new, remaining unmodified with a clean history.

The Prowler’s design draws direct inspiration from 1930s American hot rods, most notably through its open front wheels, long nose, and minimalist roadster proportions. Beneath its retro styling, however, Chrysler engineered the Prowler with a forward-thinking approach, utilizing an aluminum-intensive body and chassis construction—a relatively advanced technique for the time—aimed at reducing weight while maintaining structural rigidity.

 

Power comes from a 3.5-liter V6, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The Prowler’s unique platform features independent suspension and an aluminum-intensive construction, contributing to its lightweight design and balanced driving characteristics. While its styling draws heavily from pre-war hot rods, the underlying engineering reflects a more modern approach to ride and handling.

The exterior is finished in Midnight Blue Pearl, exclusive to the Mulholland Edition, and accented by a hand-painted light blue pinstripe. Distinctive design elements include its open-wheel front fenders, 30s-inspired proportions, and chrome 5-spoke wheels, all of which define the Prowler’s unmistakable presence. A blue soft convertible top completes the look, maintaining the car’s cohesive color combination.
Inside, the cabin is trimmed in Agate Black leather upholstery and retains its original configuration. Features include a column-mounted tachometer, cassette radio, air conditioning, power windows, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The interior presents in well-preserved condition, consistent with the mileage and single-owner history.

Accompanying the sale is one key. With its limited-production Mulholland Edition specification, single-owner provenance, and unmodified condition, this 2001 Chrysler Prowler represents a distinctive and increasingly collectible example of early-2000s American design and engineering.
