Seller's Introduction
duPont REGISTRY Live is proud to present this rare 2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport, one of just 70 produced worldwide and equipped highly desirable Porsche Exclusive options. Never originally offered in the US, this 2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport was imported to the US from Sweden in 2001 and federalized by Northern California Diagnostics Laboratories in Napa, California. Finished in Black and powered by Porsche's legendary 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six, this example pairs a six-speed manual transaxle with rear-wheel drive, a limited-slip differential, and dedicated motorsport equipment.
Overview
The exterior is finished in Black and features 18-inch Turbo Twist wheels, yellow-painted brake calipers, a fixed rear spoiler, and front-end paint protection film. The doors and rear fenders have been repainted after a previous applied graphic was removed. The purposeful Clubsport specification gives this GT2 an unmistakable competition-inspired presence while retaining the iconic styling of the 996-generation GT2.
Inside, the Clubsport Package transforms the cabin into a focused driver's environment. Recaro bucket seats, a full roll cage, race harnesses, Clubsport floor mats, and carbon fiber accents emphasize the car's motorsport pedigree while maintaining the essential character of Porsche's ultimate performance 911.
Power comes from Porsche's 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged Mezger flat-six, paired with a highly engaging six-speed manual transaxle. Rear-wheel drive and a limited-slip differential deliver the direct, mechanical driving experience that has made the 996 GT2 one of the most revered modern Porsche models.
Accompanied by service records and additional documentation, this 2001 Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport presents a rare opportunity to acquire one of just 70 examples produced worldwide. With its Mezger twin-turbo engine, manual transmission, Clubsport Package, and Porsche Exclusive options, this GT2 represents a particularly special chapter in Porsche's motorsport-inspired road car history.
Inspectors Notes: You are looking at one of the rarest Porsche GT cars in the world. The 996 GT2 provides a visceral experience with the legendary Mezger Twin-Turbocharged Flat-Six sending all of the power to the rear wheels, while you are being tightly held in place by the Recaro bucket seats. This example is offered here in great condition with low original mileage and ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
