Seller's Introduction

Our team presents a highly customized E46 M3 Touring conversion created to deliver the analog driving experience of the M3 platform in a wagon format that BMW never officially produced. Equipped with a supercharged S54 inline six, a 6-speed manual, and wide-body M3 metal fenderwork, this build blends performance capability with rarity and utility. A compelling choice for collectors of unique BMW conversions and for enthusiasts seeking an M3 that stands apart, both visually and mechanically.

Overview

The E46 M3 remains one of BMW M’s most beloved generations and platforms, recognized for its high-revving S54 engine that delivered 333 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, hydraulic steering, and balanced chassis tuning. However, BMW never offered an M3 Touring for production, which has since elevated well-executed conversions into a niche category of enthusiast desirability.

This 2002 Touring has been comprehensively transformed by Eurofed Automotive using factory M3 body panels grafted into the wagon architecture, including widened front and rear fenders with proper vents, reinforced M3 rear subframe and floor pan, an M3 rear valence, and matching front and rear bumpers. Completed with a full Alpine White repaint, the car carries the visual presence of an OEM-style M3 wagon while delivering performance that meaningfully exceeds factory specifications.

Power comes from an E85 fed S54B32 powerplant that has been fitted with an Active Autowerke supercharger system and supporting upgrades, paired with the M3 6-speed manual transmission and a short shift kit. The shop who built the motor claims around $60,000 was spent to build a bulletproof power unit that was originally intended for race use. Additional performance enhancements include an Active Autowerke oil cooler, big brake setup sourced from a 996 Turbo, custom exhaust, reinforced subframe, MCS coilovers, and H&R sway bars. CSL style wheels complete the exterior stance.

The driving experience is expected to be significantly more urgent than a stock M3, with improved cooling, braking capacity, and chassis control for fast road use. The interior has undergone a full color change from tan to black and features Recaro bucket seats, a suede-wrapped steering wheel, and a custom carbon fiber center console that integrates a modern Bluetooth-capable head unit styled to resemble OEM fitment. The result is a cabin aimed at driver engagement rather than originality, matching the mechanical intent of the build.

Carfax records indicate five ownership periods, prior residence in Connecticut, Florida, California, and Georgia, and damage reports noted in 2012 and July 2024. Mileage is considered TMU due to the gauge cluster swap noted in documentation. While prior servicing is recorded, it is worth noting that there are no service records covering the current high-performance configuration.

The car shows no known competition history. For collectors who value rarity and mechanical theater, an E46 M3 Touring conversion with a supercharged S54 and manual transmission represents a unique proposition, offering a combination of practicality and performance that no factory BMW delivered during that glorious era back in the early to mid-2000s.
