Seller's Introduction
Our team at duPont REGISTRY Live is proud to present this 2003 Ferrari Enzo, a halo supercar through and through, and one of the most important road-going Ferraris ever built. Showing just 3,758 miles at the time of documentation, this example occupies a unique place in Ferrari history as the only Enzo factory-finished in Rosso Dino, a special-order paint option. As one of 400 Enzos produced worldwide from 2002 to 2004, and one of only 127 delivered to the United States, this car holds a singular specification within an already limited production run. Accompanied by its original window sticker and benefiting from a major service completed in December 2024, this Rosso Dino Enzo, being offered here along with its original luggage set, represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Ferrari's most significant modern collector cars.
Overview
The Enzo arrived in 2002 as Ferrari's flagship model for the new millennium, named after the company's founder and developed around technology drawn from Scuderia Ferrari's contemporary Formula 1 program. It belongs to the line of limited-production flagships collectors now refer to as the Ferrari Big Five: the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari.
Following the naming pattern of its predecessors, the car was informally referred to as the F60 (six decades of Ferrari) in early press material before Ferrari settled on the founder's name for the production model. Seven-time F1 world champion, Michael Schumacher, then leading the Scuderia's Formula 1 program through its most dominant period, contributed to development testing at Ferrari's Fiorano circuit. The stunning bodywork was designed under Ken Okuyama, the Japanese industrial designer running Pininfarina's styling department at the time.
Production was capped at 400 cars worldwide, with 127 of those delivered to the United States. The car presented here carries the additional distinction of being the only Enzo finished in Rosso Dino, a color drawn from the Dino lineage rather than the Rosso Corsa most Enzo customers specified. The original Ferrari window sticker accompanying the car documents the paint as an "out-of-range paint colour," the factory's designation for a non-standard, special-order specification.
At the heart of this mid-engine exotic sits the Tipo F140B naturally aspirated 6.0-liter V12, rated for 651 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through Ferrari's F1-style 6-speed automated manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Period figures place 0-60 mph at approximately 3.3 seconds and top speed at 218 mph. The Enzo was the first Ferrari road car built around a full carbon-fiber monocoque, with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes at all four corners and a Formula 1-derived pushrod-actuated double-wishbone suspension governed by the Skyhook adaptive damping system.
The Pininfarina-styled carbon-fiber body follows the visual language of contemporary Formula 1, with a low nose, exposed wing elements, vertical butterfly doors, and a transparent rear engine cover that displays the stunning V12 engine. This particular example wears Scuderia Ferrari fender shields and rides on 19-inch center-lock five-spoke silver alloy wheels, with the brake calipers finished in black against the striking Rosso Dino bodywork.
The butterfly opening vertical doors open to a purposeful cockpit, presented here in Nero leather over a carbon-fiber dash, door panels, and center console. The carbon-fiber F1-style steering wheel carries shift lights and a starter button, with the gear paddles, drive-mode switches, and minimal secondary controls positioned for race-style operation.
In December 2024, the car underwent an extensive service at Ferrari of Newport Beach that included annual maintenance, replacement of both fuel pumps, camshaft position sensor repairs, a new battery, fresh tires, TPMS servicing, fluid and filter changes, and additional preventative maintenance, totaling over $36k including labor and taxes.
Originally delivered through Ferrari of San Diego, this extraordinary Enzo stands apart through its one-of-one Rosso Dino finish, exceptionally low mileage, and comprehensive provenance. As one of Ferrari's most revered halo cars, accompanied by its original window sticker, factory luggage set, and recent major service, it represents a cornerstone acquisition for the most discerning Ferrari collections.
