Seller's Introduction

Our team presents a low-mileage example of one of the most unapologetically raw American thoroughbred performance cars ever built, a 2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Roadster showing just 5,380 original miles. Finished in Viper Silver Metallic over a black interior, this third-generation Viper remains unmodified, accident-free, and retains its original paint, offering collectors a remarkably preserved example of Dodge’s analog V10 flagship. As the first Viper to wear the SRT badge and the final open-top Viper engineered without electronic driver aids, this supercar captures Mopar DNA at its most mechanical and unfiltered.

Overview

The 2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 marked a pivotal evolution in the Viper lineage. While retaining the brutally honest, front-engine V10 formula that defined the original RT/10 and GTS models, the third-generation car introduced a stiffer chassis, improved suspension geometry, and a more refined interior without diluting the car’s core character. This was still a machine built around mechanical dominance rather than electronics, with no traction control, no stability management, and no safety net beyond the driver’s right foot.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V10 that puts out 500 horsepower and a colossal 525 pound-feet of torque, which is routed exclusively to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Performance remains formidable even by modern standards, with the dash to 60 mph achieved in roughly 4.0 seconds, 1/4 mile in about 12 seconds, and a top speed in the ballpark of 190 mph. Side-exit exhaust pipes remain a defining Viper feature, delivering heat, noise, and theater in equal measure.

This particular 2004 example only has 5,380 miles at the time of documenting, retains its original Viper Silver Metallic paintwork, and shows no evidence of prior body or paintwork. The black cloth convertible top remains intact, and the car rides on its factory 18-inch front and 19-inch rear aluminum wheels. Inside, the black leather and suede interior presents cleanly, featuring air conditioning, power windows, and a factory 6-disc CD changer, amenities that were modestly upgraded compared to earlier Vipers while still keeping weight and distraction to a minimum. Carrying a clean title with no accidents or damage reported, as confirmed by AutoCheck and CARFAX records, the car's history indicates three owners, with consistent mileage.

The early SRT-10s are particularly desirable among collectors, as they represent the purest interpretation of the Viper formula before later generations introduced electronic aids, comfort features, and higher curb weights. With low mileage, documented history, and unmodified mechanical character, this 2004 example stands as a highly credible acquisition for collectors seeking an authentic analog American supercar from the modern era.
