Seller's Introduction
Our team presents this 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale finished in Nero with a blue and white center stripe, featuring a gated manual conversion and a custom blue suede interior. As a lightweight, track-focused evolution of the 360 platform, the CS is celebrated for its raw character when compared to the standard Modena that it is based on. This example has been modified from factory specification with a full manual gearbox swap and interior reupholstery, offering an engaging analog experience for drivers seeking a more visceral Stradale configuration.
Overview
The 360 Challenge Stradale represents one of the purest naturally-aspirated modern lightweight Ferraris, with a focus on motorsport influence above all else. Roughly 243 pounds lighter than the standard Modena created under the design direction of Pininfarina, the CS introduced carbon ceramic brakes, thinner glass, a Lexan engine cover, recalibrated suspension, and titanium valvetrain elements within its 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8. Rated at 425 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque, 25 hp more than the standard 360 Modena, thanks to a higher compression ratio, revised cam profiles, freer-flowing intake and exhaust, and bespoke ECU calibration.
It resulted in a distinctive high rev character and sharper throttle feel that helped define the Stradale as a bridge between Ferrari’s analog past and its more electronically assisted future. While factory cars were delivered exclusively with the F1 automated gearbox, this particular example has been converted to a gated 6-speed, giving it a driver engagement profile that Ferrari never offered from the factory, but many collectors and purists now seek.
This car wears Nero paint with a blue and white stripe, complemented by an aftermarket blue suede interior in place of the original red and black. The cabin remains lightweight in spirit, with a gated console integrated in a manner consistent with traditional Ferrari manual cars. Exterior equipment includes 19-inch BBS Challenge wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, and Scuderia shields. Paint condition is strong overall, with two small rock chips noted on the passenger side quarter panel.
Carfax confirms six ownership periods since 2004 across Pennsylvania, Connecticut, California, Arizona, Pennsylvania again, and Texas. With the gated conversion transforming drivability and the Stradale’s reputation continually rising among collectors, this example represents an opportunity for buyers who prioritize experience and sound over untouched originality.
The CS is already recognized as one of the last lightweight naturally aspirated V8 Ferraris built before electronics and turbocharging came to define the modern lineup, and a well-executed manual configuration should make it even more engaging to drive, be it on the road or out on the racetrack.
