Seller's Introduction

duPont REGISTRY Live presents a highly compelling and increasingly rare configuration for modern Lamborghinis, a 2008 Murciélago LP640-4 Coupe, tastefully and professionally converted to a 6-speed gated manual configuration by Royalty Exotic Cars in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finished in Arancio Atlas over a Black leather interior and showing 27,355 miles on the odometer at the time of documentation, this example offers a gated manual V12 Murciélago experience. With a clean history, documented servicing, front-end paint protection film, and the visual and tactile drama only a metal gate can provide, this Murciélago represents a unique opportunity to own one of the last truly analog V12 Lamborghinis in its most emotionally engaging form.

Overview

The Murciélago LP640-4 marks the final evolution of Lamborghini’s first fully Audi-era V12 flagship before the arrival of the Aventador. Introduced in 2006, the LP640 featured a heavily revised 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that puts out 631 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of torque, paired with all-wheel drive and a dramatic, function-driven design originally penned by Luc Donckervolke. From the factory, most LP640s were delivered with the E-Gear automated manual, making factory-equipped gated 6-speed manual examples extremely rare and sought after, often fetching big premiums.

This particular 2008 example reclaims that pivotal piece of Lamborghini performance and engagement through a 6-speed gated manual conversion, transforming the driving experience into something far closer to earlier Lambo icons like the Diablo and early Murciélago 6-speed cars. The exposed metal gate, mechanical clutch engagement, and direct driver involvement elevate the LP640 into a far more visceral, collector-focused machine while retaining the later car’s improved chassis, cooling, and drivability. Power is sent to all four wheels through a rear limited-slip differential, delivering the signature Murciélago combination of stability and raw V12 theater and three pedal engagement with this mid-engined exotic. 60 mph takes just 3.4 seconds and a 205 mph top speed.

The car seen here is finished in Arancio Atlas. The car retains the Murciélago’s defining visual elements, including deployable rear air intakes, a clear engine cover showcasing the V12, and aggressive, low-slung proportions. The signature scissor doors give way to a cabin that features Black leather upholstery with carbon fiber trim, the gated shifter conversion, and a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, blending modern usability with analog drama. Front-end paint protection film has been applied to preserve the exterior condition.

This Murciélago shows five prior owners across multiple U.S. states according to CARFAX. Recent servicing includes maintenance inspections at Fields Motorcars Orlando, along with brake service and a power steering fluid flush, supporting continued usability. The previous owner reports that a full engine out service was completed at the time of the manual conversion with over $14,000 in service items including a new clutch. Royalty conversions are completed with OEM+ parts, using factory software, and remain fully serviceable by Lamborghini dealerships per the factory service manuals. The car has not been tracked or raced, and it includes two keys at the time of sale.

As Lamborghini continues its shift toward hybridization and electrification with the likes of the Revuelto, naturally aspirated V12 cars with true mechanical engagement are becoming increasingly finite. A gated-manual LP640 occupies a particularly special niche, combining the final high-revving Murciélago V12 with the most emotionally resonant transmission ever fitted to a Lamborghini. For collectors seeking a standout Murciélago that blends rarity, drama, and driver connection, this converted LP640-4 offers a compelling proposition in the modern supercar landscape.
