Seller's Introduction

duPont REGISTRY Live presents an exceptionally low-mileage example of one of Lamborghini’s most dramatic modern V12 flagships, a 2009 Lamborghini Murciélago LP640-4, showing ONLY 303 original miles from new, which makes it the lowest mileage Murciélago on offer, not just across the nation, but likely worldwide. Finished in Balloon White over Nero Perseus leather, this Murciélago represents the final, fully evolved form of the Raging Bull brand’s original Audi-era design language, paired with E-Gear automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Offered with a clean history, recent service, and full accompanying documentation, this is a time-capsule Murciélago preserved at reference-grade condition for serious collectors.

Overview

Introduced as an update to the original Murciélago in 2006, the LP640-4 marked a significant step forward for Lamborghini. Engine displacement grew from 6.2 liters to 6.5, chassis tuning was sharpened, and the design received subtle but meaningful revisions, including new front and rear fascias, revised intakes, and updated lighting. Yet despite these updates, the Murciélago never lost its defining character: a low-slung, wide-bodied silhouette wrapped around one of the most charismatic V12 engines ever fitted to a road car.

At its core sits Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, delivering 631 horsepower, 487 pound-feet of torque, and a spine-tingling soundtrack that has become increasingly rare in the modern, turbocharged, and electrified era. Power is sent to all four wheels via Lamborghini’s viscous-coupling permanent 4WD system, giving the LP640 real-world usability alongside its supercar theatrics. Performance remains formidable even by modern standards, with a 0–60 mph time of 4.3 seconds and a top speed in excess of 205 mph.

The Murciélago LP640 occupies a crucial place in Lamborghini history as it represents the final phase of the Italian marque's original V12 supercar formula before the Aventador introduced a new carbon-fiber platform, ISR transmission, and more overt digital intervention. As such, the LP640 is increasingly recognized as a sweet spot, for its timeless wedge form defined by Luc Donkerwolke, modern reliability and usability, all while preserving the visceral, mechanical feel that defines classic Lamborghini V12s.

While gated Manual Murciélagos are hard to come by, what sets this particular 2009 example with the 6-Speed (E-Gear) automated manual is its exceptionally low mileage. Just 303 original miles at the time of documentation. This model year also boasts increased rarity with fewer cars being built compared to previous LP years. Finished in original Balloon White paint introduced for the first time in 2009, complemented by Hermera gloss black wheels, and gray painted Brembo brake calipers, this Italian exotic proudly displays its V12 heart through the optional transparent engine cover. Step inside through the Lambo scissor doors and you'll find an interior trimmed in Nero Perseus leather and enhanced with the desirable Q-Citura interior package, interior carbon fiber accents, branding package, navigation system, and rear-view camera, with factory options on their own amounting to ~$58k.

Reports reveal that this Murciélago has had three previous owners, with registrations recorded across Texas (2011), Florida (2024), and Montana (2025). The vehicle was recently serviced at Lamborghini Naples, including oil and spark plug service ($8,000) carried out at Lamborghini Naples in September 2024, ensuring it is mechanically fresh despite its minimal use. Another detail worth highlighting is that the '09 Murciélago is also significantly more reliable compared to previous years, as it saw the introduction of Bosch components. No accidents, no paintwork, and no modifications are reported, reinforcing its originality and collector car appeal.

As Lamborghini’s V12 lineage moved toward lighter, more electronically intensive and hybridized platforms, the Murciélago LP640-4 represents the final expression of a brutal, uncompromising design philosophy. As for rarity, fewer examples of the LP640-4s were produced (~331: 274 Coupes/57 Roadsters). With delivery mileage, extensive factory specification/options, and full accessories included, this highly original example offers a rare opportunity to acquire a nearly untouched Murciélago, a cornerstone model for any serious Lamborghini collection.
