Seller's Introduction

Our team presents one of the final American track weapons of the analog era, a 2017 Dodge Viper ACR Extreme built from the factory on a Viper GTC coupe and finished in a custom Blue exterior over Laguna Black leather with contrast silver stitching. Showing 23,944 miles with a clean history report and full body PPF, this example represents the ultimate evolution of the naturally aspirated 8.4-liter V10 platform before Viper production ended in 2017. With $58,990 in optional equipment and a final MSRP of $154,885, this is a highly specified Extreme configuration that stands among the most desirable final-year Vipers available. For collectors seeking the definitive manual V10 track car of the modern era, this ACR Extreme offers a rare opportunity.

Overview

The 2017 Viper ACR Extreme is widely regarded as peak Mopar performance, the highest-performing factory Viper ever built, and the final expression of America’s great analog supercar. Developed under the design leadership of Ralph Gilles, the ACR culminated three decades of Viper development that began with a raw, uncompromising roadster back in the early 1990s and ended with a Nürburgring-capable, record-hunting track machine.

While the standard Viper was already formidable, the ACR Extreme represents a purpose-built vehicle for track duty. Power comes from the naturally aspirated 8.4-liter V10 that puts 645 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque through a 6-speed manual (Tremec TR6060) and rear wheel drive, delivering a level of mechanical engagement few modern exotics still allow.

As an Extreme specification based on the GTC coupe, this particular build carries the full ACR Package ($19,000) plus the Extreme Aero Package ($6,900), which unlocks the car’s most defining attribute: peak downforce capability measured at up to 1,700 pounds at 177 mph. For some context, a 992.1 GT3 RS is not too far away at 1,895 pounds of downforce at similar speeds.

The carbon rear wing, extended front splitter, dive planes, vented hood, an aggressive diffuser, and track-optimized underbody work in concert with 10-way adjustable Bilstein coilovers and Kumho track compound tires to deliver world-class circuit pace. The ACR Extreme famously shattered over a dozen lap records in North America, edging into hypercar territory while retaining a clutch pedal and no electronic safety net beyond ABS.

This example is one of the most generously optioned configurations sold, equipped with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes ($8,500), GTS Interior Package ($8,500), Laguna Leather Package ($2,500), Carbon Fiber Interior Accents ($3,400), Harman Kardon 18 speaker audio ($1,995), ACR Brass Monkey wheels ($1,100), and additional comfort and trim packages that bring the option total to $58,990, for a final original MSRP of $154,885.

CarFax documents four registered owners moving through Michigan, Georgia, New York, and South Dakota. Documented maintenance includes differential fluid service, transmission fluid replacement, alignment, spark plugs, routine oil service, and replacement tires across ownership.

As the last production year, final naturally aspirated manual V10 supercar ever built in the United States, and one of the most extreme road legal track cars produced worldwide, the ACR Extreme has rapidly transitioned from modern performance icon to blue-chip collectible. Production numbers remain limited, and Extreme examples represent only a fraction of total output. With demand increasing and surviving cars often disappearing into long-term storage, this GTC-based 2017 ACR Extreme stands as a rare chance to acquire an irreplaceable piece of American motorsport history.
