First unveiled in late 2017, the McLaren Senna followed the P1 as the second model in McLaren's modern Ultimate Series. Named after the late Brazilian Formula 1 driver and three-time world champion, Ayrton Senna, the car was conceived with an uncompromising focus on circuit performance. Each car was hand-assembled at McLaren's Woking facility in England.

The Senna's engineering priority was lap time above all else, a mandate that shaped every decision from the MonoCage III carbon-fiber monocoque through to the active aerodynamic system. The mid-mounted 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, designated M840TR and developed from the 720S's engine in substantially modified form, produces 789 horsepower at 7,250 rpm and 590 pound-feet of torque at 5,500 rpm, delivered to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch SSG transaxle.

Period factory figures put the 0-62 mph time at 2.8 seconds and its top speed at 211 mph. At 155 mph, the active aerodynamic package that includes the massive swan-neck wing can generate as much as 800 kilograms (1,763 pounds) of downforce, while carbon-ceramic brakes provide the stopping performance required to match this supercar's circuit-focused brief.

A defining element of #347's MSO specification is the Full Visual Carbon Fiber body finished in MSO Blue with contrasting silver-painted bodywork, creating a particularly distinctive treatment across the Senna's aerodynamic surfaces. Gorilla Glass upper and lower door panels reduce weight while preserving the unusually expansive outward visibility that has become one of the model's defining design features.

Nine-spoke ultra-lightweight brushed aluminum center-lock wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, while McLaren Orange brake calipers and aero blades provide a vivid contrast against the dark exposed carbon and silver bodywork.
