Pista, which translates to ‘Track’ in Italian, represents the ultimate evolution of the 488 platform. Developed directly from Ferrari’s racing programs, the 488 Pista delivers sharper response, reduced weight, and enhanced aerodynamic efficiency. 

 

At its core lies a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged mid-mounted V8 that produces 710 horsepower, paired to a 7-speed F1 dual clutch transmission driving the rear wheels. It laps Ferrari’s Fiorano test circuit in 1:21.5. For some context, that is 3.5 seconds quicker than the 430 Scuderia. It also reaches 124 mph, 1.5 seconds faster than the 458 Speciale. Ferrari achieved these gains through extensive mechanical revisions, including titanium connecting rods, a lightweight crankshaft, carbon fiber intake plenums, and an Inconel exhaust system. 

 

Additionally, you get Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, an aluminum chassis engineered for rigidity and weight savings that amount to 198 pounds when compared to the standard 488. The Formula 1-inspired S duct front design improves aerodynamic efficiency, while the signature dolphin tail rear spoiler offers up to 20% more downforce than the standard car at speed. 

 

This particular 2020 example is finished in Nero DS 1250 paint, highlighted by a factory red-painted racing stripe option valued at over $15,000, along with front-end paint protection film. Red-painted brake calipers sit behind 20-inch black forged wheels with carbon fiber center caps, and a black ceramic exhaust completes the exterior package.

 

Inside, optional Daytona racing seats trimmed in Alcantara with Rosso stitching, complement carbon fiber accents throughout the cockpit. Full carbon paddle shifters deliver crisp mechanical shifts, whereas modern conveniences like integrated navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, dual zone climate control, rear parking sensors, suspension lifter, and a backup camera make this Pista usable on the road. 

 

Carfax reflects four prior owners and a reported rear-end collision in 2020, with airbags not deployed. Bodywork was performed to the rear following the incident.
