Seller's Introduction

Our team presents the Rio Commission, a 1992 Porsche 911 Targa Reimagined by Singer. Completed in April 2024 and commissioned with one of the most detailed interiors and mechanical specifications ever executed by Singer, it is finished in Bespoke Green over a handcrafted Burgundy and Sunset Orange interior. This example features the highly sought-after Ed Pink Racing Engines 4.0-liter flat six, extensive material customization, and Special Wishes elements, including 18k gold gauge detailing. Showing only 936 kilometers, it remains an exceptionally preserved and collector-grade commission.

Overview

The ‘Rio Commission’ began life as a 1992 Porsche 911 Targa before undergoing a complete restoration and reengineering by Singer Vehicle Design, carried out over several thousand man-hours. The project was completed in April 2024 and reflects one of the most detailed and bespoke commissions executed under the Special Wishes program.

The car features full carbon fiber bodywork and a fuel-injected 4.0-liter naturally-aspirated flat six built by Ed Pink Racing Engines, which pairs with a six-speed manual transmission. This powerplant is regarded as one of the most characterful power units ever fitted to a Singer, with sharp response and an unmistakable induction and exhaust note.

The car sits on Öhlins two-way adjustable sport suspension and 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels wrapped in Michelin PS4S tires. Stopping power comes from four-piston Brembo brake calipers and carbon ceramic rotors. Paired with an evocative soundtrack and a titanium muffler system,  the result is a driving experience that combines modern performance capability with the tactile engagement of an analog air-cooled Porsche.

As with every Singer build, there’s no shortage of some truly exquisite details both inside and out. The exterior is finished in a Bespoke Green with full body paint protection film and ceramic coating, serving as a contrast against the Stayfast Burgundy Black Targa roof and the silver finish of the Targa structure. Other highlights include a touring trim package without reflectors, nickel trim pieces, nickel RS wheel centers with black backgrounds, nickel finish on the raised decklid lettering, and Singer script on the decklid finished in 24 karat gold.

The interior is a fully bespoke affair executed in Burgundy and Sunset Orange, including carbon bucket seats upholstered in Albori AF 2810 with jacquard weave inserts, brass grommet detailing, custom carpeting, and Sunset Orange contrast stitching.

Interior highlights include a prototype steering wheel wrapped to match the cabin, a mahogany shift knob, a modern audio head unit with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, integrated air conditioning controls, and a rear camera with a visor-mounted display. The Rio Commission incorporates Special Wishes elements, including 18 karat gold gauge accenting and lettering, a gold detailed tachometer, and bespoke gold perimeter rings.

According to the Singer-supplied build records, the car was commissioned privately and imported to the United States before completion, with registration history beginning in Idaho and Montana in 2022. No accident history is shown in available records, and this restomod Porsche 911 Targa is a low-mileage collector-grade example with just 936 kilometers recorded at the time of cataloging.
